Two Ways to Pay
The site is the same on both plans. The difference is who looks after it and when it becomes yours.

Any site can be built in both English and French. It adds $400, $800 or $1,200 to the pay-once price, depending on size. On the monthly plan, half of that is added to the setup fee and the monthly price stays the same.

Need a new page or a redesign later? $450 for a half-day.
Small changes are covered: you make them yourself on the pay-once plan, and I make them on the monthly plan. For bigger work, such as a new service page or a redesigned section, book a half-day. You pay only when you want something built.

Building it yourself on Squarespace costs less than either of my plans. If you enjoy doing that and your site loads well, keep it. I am the better choice when you want a site made for your business, want it done in a week, and want to be able to take it with you.

Every site comes with an editing login. Sign in from your phone or laptop, change a price, swap a photo, update your hours, and save. On the monthly plan you can skip all that and send the change to me.

At handover you get every login, a full copy of your site files, and a one-page sheet listing what you own and where it lives.

What is the difference between paying once and paying monthly?
The site is the same. Pay once and it is yours at launch: it sits in your own accounts and you make your own small changes. Pay monthly and you start for less; I host it, make your changes and keep an eye on it, and you can buy it out whenever you like.
How does the buyout work?
Every tier has a published buyout price, shown above. Pay it and I move the site, its files and its hosting into your own accounts. The price halves once you have been on the monthly plan for two years.
What happens if I cancel the monthly plan?
There is no contract, so you can cancel at any time. The site comes down at the end of the month you have paid for. If you have your own domain it stays yours. You can also buy the site out instead of cancelling.
How is there no hosting bill on the pay-once plan?
Your site is a set of small, fixed files, and several large hosts carry sites like that free. I set it up in your own account. If that free plan ever changes, the site can move to another host without being rebuilt.
Do I need my own domain?
No. Your site can run on a free address. If you want your own, such as yourbusiness.ca, it costs about $15 a year, and it is registered in your name.
How do I change my hours, prices or photos?
You get an editing login. Sign in from any browser, make the change and save; it is live in about a minute. On the monthly plan you can send the change to me instead.
What if I want new pages or a redesign later?
Book a half-day of work for $450. On the pay-once plan you can also hand the files to any web developer.
How fast is the turnaround?
5 business days for Single-Page, 7 for Multi-Page Pro and 10 for Custom Studio. A second language adds two or three days. The clock starts when I have your photos, logo and text.
Can my site be in both English and French?
Yes, at any size. It adds $400 to a Single-Page site, $800 to Multi-Page Pro and $1,200 to Custom Studio. I translate every page, add a language switch, and set up each language so Google can find it. On the monthly plan half of that goes on the setup fee and the monthly price does not change.
What do I need to give you?
Your logo, 10 to 15 photos of your work, your list of services and prices, and the login for your domain if you have one.
What if I do not like the design?
You choose from three design directions before I build anything, and the price includes two rounds of changes on the design you pick.
How does payment work?
Pay once: half to start, half at launch. Monthly: the setup fee to start, and the first monthly payment at launch.
What is the speed guarantee?
At launch your site scores 95 or higher on Google's mobile speed test. If it does not, I fix it at no charge until it does. Things added later, such as a booking widget or tracking code, can lower the score and are outside the guarantee.
Are my customers' enquiries safe?
There is no site database for anyone to break into. Enquiries are sent to your email, and the form service keeps a copy that can be deleted at any time.
